DOS Printing Windows XP PRO

When trying to print to a local printer from DOS in
Windows XP Pro get message "Cannot find LPT1". Before
Win2K, I could go to the print properties and capture the
port. How can I do this in Windows XP Pro so that I can
print from DOS? Thanks in advance.

if the user attempting to capture the LPT1 port does not have admin rights,
this will not work.
