dos games on xp

I can't get a dos based game to install. It says there is
not enough memory. Any ideas on how to make this work?

Thanks in advance

Does the game install under Windows 9x Ken? If so the compatibility
wizard can help you fool the setup program. To start the Program
Compatibility Wizard manually use Explorer and navigate to the setup
program. Right click on the setup program, select Properties, then the
Compatibility tab. Switch the mode to a version of Windows you know
worked before. When you're done don't forget to reset the properties for
the setup program othewise every CD setup will run in that mode. :p

There are two other options:
1. Dual boot to a DOS partition or use an old boot floppy
2. Invest in virtual machine solution like Connectix's (soon to be
Microsoft) Virtual PC that runs DOS inside a virtual PC from Windows XP
