Don't want to view deleted emails in inbox!

When I delete an email from my inbox it remains there. The email is faded and
has a line through it showing that its deleted.

I do not want to view these faded emails once they're deleted.

I'm using office 2003.

This is how IMAP accounts work and it can't be changed. Use Edit>Purge
Deleted Messages

I do not want to view these faded emails once they're deleted.

With IMAP accounts, they're only marked for deletion, they're not actually
deleted until you explicitly purge them.

This is the usual characteristic of an IMAP account. Use Edit | Purge
Deleted Messages to remove them permanently.
It can come in handy to add the Purge Deleted Messages button to your
toolbar for quick access.
You can alternatively hide deleted items in the view.
