"Don't Print empty line"

I have a report from a membership database that includes
two lines each with two fields.

Sometimes two fields in one line have no data.

I have the property of the section and each field set to "Can Shrink"
but I still get a blank line in the report.

What have I missed?

The CanShrink will shrink vertically, not horizontally. Also, there can be not other
control in line horizontally with the control that is set to shrink.

You may want to concatenate the values of the 2 controls on the same line into a single
control then use the CanShrink.

Why didn't I think of that. <G> It's too obvious. <G> The output is
destined for a Publisher document and that will take care of my
problem.

It's not an answer to your question Robin, but having struggled with
this in the past myself, I now merge to Word whenever possible - you
don't have blank fields to contend with that way.
