Don't allow Quicktime!

I went to a site that automatically tried to download
Quicktime even though I chose not to and was appalled
when I got a message Microsoft was allowing it.
Quicktime should NOT be allowed to download without
permission from the user. There is no way to uninstall
it. It doesn't load to Add/Remove programs (XP) and it
doesn't load to Program files. In other words, it loads
and hides itself and is very invasive, and immediately it
starts messing with navigation. At once, I couldn't
navigate away from a page. What is this if not invasive
spyware?? Why on EARTH would Microsoft allow it?

As already posted Quicktime is genuine but if you wish to
remove it then goto Add/Remove screen and remove it from
there, If its not listed its unlikely to be Quicktime,
another way to remove it is to goto 'start menu'
then 'All Programs' then find Quicktime and mouse over it
to open the options then choose 'Uninstall Quicktime' if
its not there either its definitly not Quicktime and
Maybe a dialer or other malware using the name. Let us
know if you have problems and try find the file on your
system and post the filename for it and where its saved
into
