Domains not synching up

I have two Win2K domains (.com and .local) that are not synching up. A trust
has been establish and the two domains can connect to each other but some of
the function cannot be performed. For instance you cannot add/modify users in
the trusted domain when you connect to it from the trusting domain. I was
wondering what could be causing this and what settings if any I should be
looking at. Thanks@ - Ben

Trusted domains don't "synch" up. That term is not applicable to such a
scenario.

Extrapolatin (and assuming) you mean you've created a one way or two way
trust between the two specific domains, and also keeping in mind that the
..local and .com names have nothing to do with trusts in Windows 2000 Active
Directory since trusts are NetBIOS based, then I would assume you probably
have not added the Domain Admins from DomainA (assuming that is the netBIOS
name of the .com domain is) to the local Administrators grou of DomainB
(assuming that is the NetBIOS domain name of the .local domain is), and
vice-versa, then I can see why you are having difficulty.

If my assumptions are totally incorrect and off base, please elaborate on
the steps you've taken to establish the trust and other steps afterwards,
such as adding domain admins to the local admist group of the other domain,
or any other steps you may have performed, to better assist as well as to
eliminate any further assumptions.

Thanks,
