Domain/Workgroup ?

TIA for considering my question.

I inherited a windows 2000 Server, Active directory and several users.
"They" also set-up several computers in a "Workgroup". The Boss wants all of
the computers to have access to the Domain Server resources.
What is the most reasonable way to combine the two without losing individual
settings/re-installing applications?

Regards...Les

And NO workgroup.

Agreed. Why on earth keep a mess when you can clean it up? A well-built
domain infrastructure will make everyone happier.

Gotcha!
Thank you both for your input.

One more thing, if you don't mind.
When I add the workgroup computers to the Domain all of the user settings
are only accessible by signing onto the "computer" not when I sign onto the
Domain. Is there a "simple" way to migrate the user settings??

Logon as the Domain Administrator and copy all the files and folders EXCLUDING
*NTUSER.DAT* from the old profile to the new profile that represents the user logged into
the Domain.
