Domain profile migration

S

Sabir Ahmedi

Hi,
We're migrating from Netware and moving to AD. Our users
only have local profiles at the moment. We want to save/copy or move the
settings
from the current profile to the new one when go to AD.

Anyone know the best way to do this for 600 users.

Thanks!

Sabir.

ADMT tool will do that for you. It will translate security on the profile to
the new domain. But it works based on if joined to a Windows domain. so I
haven;'t tried it with a workstation coming from a Novell environment, which
pretty much means it was a stand alone (not joined to a domain). Not sure if
it will work. You can give that a shot.

This is a good read on how to use the tool. Check out the section on
security translation for the workstations (computer accounts).
