Domain Policy not applying to Workstations

Hi,

I'm trying to apply policies to an XP workstation from Windows Server 2003
Active Directory. The policies are NOT applying to the workstation.

I verified that:
1. DNS is configured properly
2. I move the policy I created to be priority over other policies
3. Domain user has proper rights to the Policy Group
4.Local Policies have not been changed

I also refreshed the policies using 'gpupdate' in command prompt. I ran a
'gpresult' to see the result of the policies. I got a message saying' Error
the policy object does not exist'

I then check out Event View and got this System Error:

Source: Usernv
ID: 1053
Windows cannot determine the user or computer name.( The specified domain
either does not exist or could not be contacted. Group Policy process
aborted).

Please advise me on what to do next?? Thanks!

Applying Group Policy causes Userenv errors and events to occur on your
computers that are running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000
