Domain Logon

Hi,
I have a windows 2000 domain with 2 domain controllers. If I take the 1.
controller (FSMO role holder) off the net, no one can logon with the domain
account to any computer anymore. How is this possible? When one controller
fails should not the other one take on the authentification?

Make sure that your second DC is a Global Catalogue server. A GC is required
to process logons as well as a DC. It's a very easy process that can be
found in this article.
