Domain Controller change doesn't work

David Tudor

my domain controller is causing problems saving Office
documents..can't resolve the issue so I'm changing the
controller.
I have two domain controllers. One domain controller (
primary ) and a second one ( a secondary ).
They hold same DNS records and replicate, but when I add
the new domain controller ( replacing the primary domain
controller ) they won't talk to each other although the
secondary happily adopts the DNS records of the new
machine.
However, they seem to be acting individually.
What do I need to do to get the two to behave as the
original two did ?

To get a full status of your AD, run dcdiag /v and netdiag /v and post the
errors you are getting, allso be more specific on your issue ? Do you have
any errors in event log ?
