Domain Admins Group?

S

Steve

Hi,

We are having a problem with the Domain Admins group on
our Win2K Servers/XP Pro Desktop domain - in that when
the users were setup/moved from WinNT 4 we had all users
in the Domain Admins group for configuration - now when
we remove users from the Domain Admins group they have no
access to any secure web page?

Anyone seen this problem before? or have
solutions/suggestions?

Any help appreciated.

Regards

Steve.

Steve,

I have not seen this. I would wonder why all of your user accounts were
made a member of the Domain Admins group. That is *usually* a bad idea.
Did you migrate from WINNT 4.0 to WIN2000? Was it an in-place upgrade or
did you use some tool - such as ADMT?

Christoffer, sorry yes I meant Https://...

Cary, from what I have been told - they had problems when
they imported from NT4 so put users into Domain Admins
group as a quick fix, as the system was going live the
next day.

Apologies for lack of info as I'm fairly new to network
admin (wasn't involved in upgrade either), but have been
left to solve this issue.

This Sounds weird to me, are there any Group Policies or System Policies in
use?

Hi Christoffer,

Just the default Group Policy, as far as I'm aware it has
not been changed.
