Domain / AD Problem

All of a sudden our domain server does not exist. It
starts off with people not having access to our server
then when we go into the Admin tools we cannot access
active directory users or groups because the computer
cannot find the domain.

Then when I try to connect to the domain through active
directory it says cannot browse domain because interface
is unknown.

This is the second server that this has happened to. Is
this some common problem?? I mean how can't it find a
domain that is on the same computer the active directory
is on?

Well, yes this is a very common problem if you are trying to use your ISP's
DNS in TCP/IP properties. You must only use your internal AD DNS server's IP
if it is on the DC, use the DC's own IP address that File Sharing and Client
for Microsoft networks are bound to.
