doesn't retain format when saving email as Rich Text

If I have a Plain Text email and want to save it as Rich Text (in order to
highlight text), I'll select "Edit" while email is open, select "Rich Text"
as format, then make my changes. I'll exit and save the email but when
re-opening, it's lost the Rich Text format. Can you help?

I didn't know you could highlight with RTF; try HTML instead. What
version of Outlook are you using.
