Does Windows 2000 have a built-in firewall like XP?

A friend has requested assistance to clean out a computer that's been
infested with spyware. I haven't yet examined the computer but I
suspect that there's no firewall in place.

I know that Windows XP comes with a firewall that can be activated
(or not) by the user. Does Windows 2000 have the same thing?

If not, I will probably have to install Zone Alarm. Has Zone Alarm
(free) been known to work well with Windows 2000, or is some other
free firewall a better recommendation?

Thanks for your help.

My personal preference is Sygate. It definitely works well on Win 2K.

Windows 2000 does not come with a built in firewall. I use Zone Alarm.
