Does Win2K support native firewalling?

I want to install a personal firewall on my Win2K system. I know that WinXP
actually has a personal firewall built in that you can turn on.

But I thought that Win2K didn't have such a thing. But to my surprise, I've
been seeing information that leads me to believe that in fact you CAN do
firewalling directly with Win2K without using some third-party product.

It seems to be called something like IPsec firewalling, with filters, etc.

Can somebody fill me in on this? Is the IPsec approach "good enough," or
would it still be better to get a third-party dedicated solution?

Thanks for any info,

John

In the advanced tab of your tcp/ip properties you can click on options. In
there you can enable tcp/ip filtering. All I know is that is where you turn
it on and set it up. I have no idea if it's any more or less secure then xp
or third party firewalls.
