I have tried installing 2 different dig cameras and
neither will work. I get an error code when installing.
The programs will install but when i want to download the
pics it says no data in camera. Is there any kind of cam
that i can download that will work with this system? I am
not impressed at all by XP.

Greetings --

Millions of people have no trouble in this area. Are the cameras
and accompanying software you're trying to use certified as being
WinXP-compatible? Are you correctly following their manufacturers'
instructions for installation and use?

Their are a lot of camera that won't work, cause the makers of the camera
chose not to make xp drivers for their camera. You did not say what model of
cameras you are trying. Did you get the latest drivers from the manufactures
web site. Also most cameras will work with windows built in software and
don't need anything else. Is your camera usb..? When you plug it in does
windows detect it..? What errors..? I have a kodac camera that when I plug
in to the usb, windows detects it, but then says it can't find it. I found
that if I restart the service,"Windows Image Acquisition", the camera will
then work fine.
