Does Vista 'sleep mode' suspend all "scheduled tasks" until awaken again

It doesn't appear that any of the usual routine scheduled tasks run
automatically when the computer is in 'sleep' mode. (updaters, virus scans,
etc., etc.) Sleep mode is more convenient than using a 'power scheme' to
shut off monitor screen, stop disks, etc. Is this correct? Suggestions
appreciated. TIA

On my machine (Dell XPS410 Vista Home Premium) the system wakes from sleep
to perform several automatic functions.
It checks for updates at 2PM each day, records a TV program at 7PM each
weekday and does some sort of a scan at 2AM each day.

Those items scheduled in 'task scheduler have a setting for wake up, mostly
those items are defaulted to 'not' wake up. You could try changing the
settings for those items that you want to wake up the machine for.

Seems to me that most complaints about 'waking up' are that Vista wakes up
too often. There also seems to be a bug (partially fixed in one of the
manual MS updates) that wakes, starts some programs, and then immediately
goes back to sleep. Doesn't seem to affect my machine (all patches
automatically installed).

Thank you for the information, Michael. I'll double check some 'scheduled

Sounds like something Frank would come up. Pretty nonsensical.

Cheers.

Trust Me, You Do Not Even Want To Mess Around With Microsoft Windows
Vista's Sleep Mode At All, Just FYI.

Turn It Off Completely, Or Else You Will Have Problems With Either Your
ATI Or NVIDIA Graphics Card, Also Just FYI.
