Does this look right?

I'm wondering why my ram is not reporting "2x 200MHz"
but is instead reporting:
Speed : 2x 167MHz (334MHz data rate)

?

I'm wondering why my ram is not reporting "2x 200MHz"
but is instead reporting:

Probably because it's running at 167Mhz. You've either set it to that
speed or you have it set for BySPD.

The mobo says it autodetects the ram size and type. When I set it to
manual and 200MHz in the bios it still only reports (ghosted) 166 in the
bios. My bios is up to date.

Is it possible that Sandra is reporting incorrect values? Does the total
ram bandwidth throughput look like it's running at 200 to you?

RAM Bandwidth Int Buff'd iSSE2 : 2543 MB/s
RAM Bandwidth Float Buff'd iSSE2 : 2549 MB/s

Sandra is also telling me that my mobo only supports 768M ram.

What is BySPD?

Ok, I know what BySPD is now but I'm not sure what to set my timings to
in bios. Here's what I have

K8VT800 motherboard socket 754

Patriot 2x1GB Extreme Performance PC3200
PEP1G3200LL
CL 2
2-3-2-5

And here are the timings available in my bios

CAS# Latency 2.0
Row Cycle Time (tRC) 10 [7-22]
Row Refresh Cycle Time (tRFC) 11 [9-24]
RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 3 [2-7]
Row to Row Delay (tRRD) 2 [2-4]
Min RAS# Active Time (tRAS) 6 [5-15]
Row Precharge Time (tRP) 2 [2-6]
Write Recovery Time (tWR) 3 [2-3]
Write to Read Delay (tWTR) 1 [1-2]
Read to Write Delay (tRWT) 3 [1-6]
Refresh Period (tREF) 2x2592 [many choices for this]

Could you please tell me which of those that 2-3-2-5 correlates to?
Would those be the only changes I'd need to make?

I'm guessing that all I should change is tRAS from 6 to 5. Is that
correct?

I also have a bios option to autoset the dimm clock and I suppose I
should disable that...?

Thanks for any help you can offer

One of my ram sticks is recognized as a 166 DDR. It's an older PC3700 which
is really a hand tested, overclocked PC 2700. You will have to set your FSB
to 200 manually if you can. My motherboard doesn't allow it.It only has
100,133,166 and Auto.Auto always sees it as 166.

Many, if not all PC3200 and faster ram have SPD set to 166MHz for
compatability reasons. Left with a BySPD setting will always
set them to 166Mhz. If you want anything higher, you have to manually set
it higher, or the bios has to set it higher automatically which really is
not a good idea.

Same here. It has the option for 200 but doesn't really set it, so I bought
an ASUS motherboard and am pleased with it.
