Does not exist on destination server... :-(

Hi. I have some directories on my Remote Web Site that are not in my Local
Web Site and every time I publish I get a dialog "The file dir\blah exists on
the destination server but does not exist in the current Web site. Would you
like FrontPage to remove it from http://blah.com?"

The files in these directories are not related to FrontPage and I want
FrontPage to ignore these directores. I think I had this same problem years
ago, fixed it, but I just did something to break it again, and I can't
rememeber how to make it work properly. Marking the file as "don't publish"
isn't the way to do it.

Thanks for any help.

You have to create a folder of the same name in your local copy, then right click and convert to web
/ site.

Thomas - thanks for the reply.

For years I haven't had this problem (after I fixed it), and I didn't/don't
have the folder with the same name on my local copy. Anyway, I just created a
folder on my local copy with the same name, and when I right click I don't
see any option to convert to web. What am I missing?

Thomas - I just figured out that I was right clicking on the folder in the
Local Web Site folder, not the Folder List, and the Folder List has the
Convert To Web option. So I tried it and it looks like it worked! My Local
Web Site now looks a little different (I now see these folders with a green
dot on them), but it I don't get the dialog box anymore. Thanks.
