Does Michael Dell Use Vista?

D

Dale White

Well, either Mikey has seen the light or lost his mind.

First he break away from Intel, now he's peeing on Microsoft. maybe that
explains why the company has been hurting. So will bringing him back be the
answer or has his time passed.

Though I'll say, it's great news. This could be the start of something great
for the Penguin heads

That's your justification for using Ubuntu? (-:

Maybe that is why Dell's sales are taking a nose dive lately.

LOL!

Microsoft's days are numbered.

So how many folks who have four computers at home aren't running Linux
on at least one of them? But then again, how many folks have four
computers at home?

Dell has Linux on one laptop, Vista Ultimate on two other laptops and
Vista Ultimate on a XPS system. In addition, he runs Vista Ultimate on
his work machine. So you could say Michael Dell prefers Windows Vista
Ultimate to Ubuntu 4 to 1.

Don't we all? :)
Frank

No. I use Linux on all five home computers. I believe one of them is
capable of booting xp, but I don't have the need to do that. I also admin
eight (soon to be ten) Linux computers at the local library - they're used
for public access internet.

We have five. Frankly I do not see how it is possible to run a house with
fewer than three.

Most people don't run a house with their PC's. I have two working PC's
at home. One for my wife and I to share, and one for the children.
That has proven to be quite sufficient for everything we need a PC to do
for us.

Why isn't is possible (in your opinion) to run a house with fewer than
three computers?

One for the wife, one for me, and one for me to 'play' with while the main
one is still up.

I would think that would get a little tight when you and the wife both
want to check e-mail and the kids are working on theirs - that's the
situation we hit a few years back.

Guess I'm spoiling the GF and kids, but I have 5. Everyone has their own and
one extra for me to tinker with. Though I'm a pure windows family.

Neither of us get e-mail that is so important that it can't wait a few
minutes or longer until the other is done.

If you look through there, you'll find that he evidently uses ubuntu on
one of his five computers - MS on the others.

He is using Ubuntu 7.04, aka Feisty Fawn. It just came out today. Even a
Michael Dell needs to have the time to make a transition from an all
intrusive, buggy and non user friendly OS like Windows to a real OS.
