Does it make a difference?

I want to install Xp. I have an XP pro upgrade disk and a repartitioned and formatted hard drive. I can install Win 98 se or Win 2000 first. Is one better than the other for this purpose?

Neither.
Boot from the WinXP disk and install. When it asks for proof insert either
of the other CDs.

Install neither 98 nor 2000. Only install XP, and when prompted insert
either your 98 or 2000 CD as proof that you qualify to use an upgrade
version of XP.
