Does anyone now how to make Outlook 2007 function like Gmail's archive
features, where archived messages will reappear if a new message comes
in with the same "conversation"?

Not possible with Outlook's autoarchiving.

Thanks Brian. Do you know of any workarounds using rules and filters?

I can't think of any way to emulate the function you've described. Why do
you want to? What's the goal? Perhaps someone might be able to suggest a
different approach that would still suit the intended purpose.

I am using all categories and no folders to manage emails. All emails
stay in by inbox until a project is done an archivable. So there is
heavy use of Outlook categories for emails, and emails that are
"tasks". I use an extensive use of search folders to stay on top of
all these categories. That is why the google feature is so nice. You
can "hide" your email until a new email comes in under the same
conversation name. Do you have any ideas? Thanks for the help!

I'd use multiple folders, myself. I can't say I have any ideas to suggest.
Perhaps someone else will.
