Does anyone know how to speed up uploading from CD??

Does anyone know how i can speed up the speed at which my PC uploads tracks
off cd?? I use Windows media player and iTunes.
On iTunes the fastest i can get is about 4.5kbs. Is that normal or is there
a way to speed it up???

Have a really fast processor, great motherboard, fast drives, and lots
of RAM. Make sure all drives are using DMA and not PIO. You haven't
told us anything about the hardware you do have, so it isn't possible
to be more specific.
