documents unavailable

Just installed XP + Office; at first it all worked, next
time I opned the computer I couldn't access any
documents; just get a window telling me that the document
is unavailable. What have I done wrong?

What have I done wrong?

You either didn't save the document in question, or it's not where
Office thinks it is. Try the Search function.

Did you upgrade a previous operating system? If so browse for your my
documents folder, it is in a different location.
