Documents list display

Could someone tell me, why?

When I open my "My Documents" folder....it lists all the folders and
documents like I expect......but some of the documents listed show in regular
type, black, but others show in blue type.......is this supposed to mean
something?

eg icon...Resume.rtf...shows like this

eg icon...To do list.rtf....shows in blue type opposed to black like above

no difference in the files that "I" can see...why is one displayed different
in that regard...lol

Blue means it's compressed.
Green means encrypted.
Right-click the folder, Properties, "General" tab, click the "Advanced" button and you'll see
that the box is checked for "Compress contents to save disk space"

Hi Unk,

I was pretty sure of the explanation, but where in the devil did you find
it? :)

Click Start, Help and Support, and enter COLOR into the search box.
7th one down, "Display encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color"

One of the options in Disk Cleanup is to Compress old files. If you leave
that box checked (and you apparently did), it marks the files it compressed
in blue.
