Document with Table and Page Break

I have a doc and almost all of page 1 is a table (with some Hidden text
after the table). I then inserted a page break and started another table on
what I thought would be the second page. When I print it (or Print Preview),
the second table appears on the first page almost as a continuation of the
first table. It's like the page break isn't even there! Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Check whether the page break has been formatted as hidden text.

Note that in general, it is better to use “Page break before†(found in
Format > Paragraph > Line and Page Breaks tab) than inserting manual page
breaks. For example, manual page breaks may result in empty pages in a
document. You can apply â€Page break before†to the first row (or part of it)
in the second table. This will force the table to start on a new page.
