Document printer and photo printer problem

I have had a Lexmark X125 as my document printer for years without trouble. A
few months ago, I added an Epson PictureMate.

Since then, I began to randomly get this error message: "Spooler subsystem
app has encountered a problem and needs to close" and the Lexmark would not
work. So, every single time I needed to print a document, I would have to
uninstall and reinstall the Lexmark. The Epson always worked throughout this
time.

Now, I have uninstalled both printers and edited the registry according to
these instructions: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810894/

My question is what do I do now? I want to reinstall both printers. Will it
matter which order I install them in? Do you have any other suggestions to
make this work smoothly?

This looks like a lexmark driver problem. It is crashing in the
spooler context. Try an update for the lexmark driver.
