"Document not saved"

I'm using Office 97 on my computer that has Windows ME. I
have created a workbook that is now fairly large (4,600KB)

I can add to it and save the data in ME. However, when I
send the file to my new laptop (windows XP home) Windows
will not let me
save any changes I've made. I get the error
message "Document not saved".

I have read all the info on Embedded Objects, but I'm not
sure how to find them if they in fact do exist in my
workbook.
