Document Maintenance

I have a large report that mentions contact names and numbers at various
locations throughout the document. I am thinking about document maintenance
in the future, and would like to be able to maintain a master list within the
document that populates fields throughout the document. Can anyone suggest a
solution to this or point me in the direction of a related article.
 
Consider Document Properties and DOCPROPERTY fields. Otherwise, see
