document failed to print

After I changed the IP Address of the printer on this computer, document
failed to print. Unable to print a test page. The computer is not
communicating with the printer now, after the printer was moved to another
port.
 
So what happens when you change the printer back to the old IP address?
Can you reach the printer via Telnet? (Assuming the printer has a true tcpip
interface)
Or ping it?
What printer make and model ?
