Help required

I have a Lap Top running XP I have had no problem with the desktop using my
laptop on it own or putting it in my docking station for the last year.

Now for some reason the desktop is ok running my laptop on it own but when I
put it in the docking station I loss the icon on the laptop and I get a
small background on the laptop screen.
