docdvd.exe?

I'm running Windows XP Home Edition and have been running into extreme slow
downs in basic performance (with 512MB RAM and 3Ghz processor). I checked
Task Manager and under "Processes" there is an application called
"docdvd.exe" that is consistently taking up a majority of memory. I don't
know what the file is for, nor can I retrieve it through a search (although I
did retrieve "docdvd.exe.pf" which I had no program to open). When I select
it in Task Manager, and then click "End Process", the application disappears
and my available "Physical Memory" under the Performance tab goes way up,
after being a fraction of my total memory. BUT, the system slows down again a
few seconds later, and when I check Task Manager again, "docdvd.exe" is back
and taking up most of my memory again...Anyone recognize this application or
have tips of eradicating it/stabilizing my memory usage?

Hi

Find the file in Windows Explorer, right click on it and select Properties.
Then click on the Version tab and see if any of the info in there helps to
indentify where the file may have come from.
