Do you have to have Server 2003 to make Shared Workspace in Word w

I just loaded Office 2003 on my two home machines which are networked. (both
have XP Professional) I'm very interested in using the Shared Workspace
feature, but when I go to shared workspace within Word, I click Create and it
says I can't create a shared workspace. Does this feature only work when you
have Server 2003?

Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks!

It only works under SharePoint, a completely separate MS product. All
Office products support it.
