"'We've all been part of the biggest beta test the world has ever
known--Windows. Microsoft will not solve all of the security problems, no
matter what the richest man in the world says,' said Gartner vice president
Victor Wheatman in a keynote speech at Gartner's IT Security Summit on
Monday."

Windows will always be a Beta OS. It about time that MS admitts it to its
customers, and issues us all a full refund!

"Trustworthy Computing" is only another example of an Oxymoron!

Hey, Kurt. Glad to see you weren't messed up by the bad weather in your
part of the world. Once you get your refund, what operating system are
you going to use? Coming over to the Dark Side?

You might have that backwards...

Novell bought SuSE and is going open source. Netware 7 will be running
on Linux.

At a recent Novell ATT (Advanced Technical Training - not ATT the
company) the instructor used a red marker on the board until he began
talking about Microsoft services, then he switched to a black pen with a
comment about having to use an appropriate color when discussing the
"Dark Side..."

:)

;-) Of course I know about the Novell purchase. SuSE 9.1 Pro here.

We just got Ivan dumping tons of water on us the last two days in Palm Beach
County. That's one crazy Russian that won't quit.

LOL! Probably the next time I do a major upgrade of my computer. Until
then I'll stay with 2K and keep my non-MS protection on. Safe Computing
means wearing a virtual rubber, or two, that isn't developed by MS.

ROFL! It is all a matter of one's perspective, isn't it?

Ahh yes, stoke those fires.

Every OS on this planet is a BetaOS
they ALL are in constant development
that goes for Unix (any flavor) and including MAC
so just deal with it.

No, when its beta, its a beta OS. I think Microsoft and operating system
companies do something to the binaries before it is released to make sure it
is extra secure.
