I used to get wrist pain, but I got a proper adjustable chair for Christmas which has sorted me out.

There's no doubt you're risking harm if you sit for hours in the wrong position at a workstation.

KGB, I think all you need is a fire extinguisher! :D

Dear PSD

Interesting post!!! I suffer with back and neck ache which AS A WORD OF CAUTION TO OTHERS was caused by 4 years of non stop working on a laptop (with work) and also massive amounts of driving (ditto the job). The best piece of advice that my chiropractic gave me (re the laptop) was to put an A4 boxfile under the laptop (i.e. laptop sitting on it) to maintain a better position. I wish I had known that when I first took the job.

I have a much better PC set up now both at home and at work.

Kind regards

but i do beleive that RSI IS A V V SERIOUS INJURY

i suffer from this a lot, so im looking hardcore into a REALLY GOOD CHAIR cuz at the moment all my arrangements are very uncomfortable.
i think a good chair will be v expensive but im willing to pay cuz i want to get rid of all these burning sensations!:(

RSI is extremely common with people that use there computer for a long amount of time.

Theres plenty ergonomic chairs you can find, but the best way to help is to take at least a 5 minute break after every hour, have a little walk about to get the blood flowing properly.

I get a sore hand around my right thumb after long periods of mouse moving, although this is also due to a motorcycle accident i had a few years back where i snapped my thumb. I also spend a lot of time with a carving knife in my hand at work which doesnt help either.

The only other issue i have is neck ache occasionally if i spend many hours in one sitting at my pc.
