Do these groups have moderators?

I am fairly new to the newsgroup thing and was wondering if these groups
have moderators or anyone in control who can edit and or delete things?

Also what does MVP stand for?

These are non-moderated newsgroups. I think there have been times that
someone at Microsoft has deleted something, but it exceedingly rare.

Also what does MVP stand for?
