I have installed Windows XP (a clean installation)and
when it boots up I get a screen that gives me the option
to start Windows XP or Windows.

It has the proverbial countdown timer saying XP will
start in.....seconds.

How do I remove this option so the computer will load XP
directly?

Thanks in advance

right click on "MY COMPUTER"
Take the "ADVANCED" tab
Take "STARTUP AND RECOVERY"
Change what you like.

If you take the "EDIT" button , you can remove the line with the other
operating sytems if you have any
