Jay

Hello.

Cell A1 equals any value.

Cell B1 has formula =A1

But when Cell A1 doesn't have a value, it shows a zero
value in B1. How do I change my formula so that if
nothing is entered, Cell B1 shows nothing.

Thank you,
Jay Gustafson

Thank you JE McGimpsey

And thank you, (yet again) JulieD

(I also have another question posted in the charting
section if anyone could possible help)

Thanks,
Jay Gustafson

Hi Jay

no probs, saw your question in the charting area - my immediate response was
to teach your users how to select the range and press the F11 key - so i
thought i would wait for a more sane response from someone else :)

Cheers

JulieD,

If you only knew the users who would be reviewing my
report, you'd know it wouldn't be an option.

There's certainly more I need to learn about Excel, but
overall, I get what I need accomplished and I know what to
do for the most part.

But selecting a range & hitting a key would only create
more of a headache for myself because I'd be dealing with
all the users not understanding what to do & what not.

I have other reports that I have done, with some VERY
useful functions. And on virtually all my reports, I have
a help page, with VERY EASY to understand instructions on
what to do, or for an explanation of something. Even
doing that isn't answer enough. They still come to me for
questions that are answered in the file.

I really need a solution that is dummy proof.

Jay - don't we all :) will check out the question again and see what
responses you've received
