Do I need both Framework 1.1 and 1.1 Hotfix

I am trying to make room on my machine and I notice that I have these three
listed in my Add/Remove window:
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix (KB886903)
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect 2003 - English

Since EACH is listed as taking up 999.00MB I wanted to know if I could
remove the first one without damaging anything? If I do remove it what should
I expect to happen?

You need both the .NET framework and the hotfix (well, technically you don't
need the hotfix, but then your machine may be vulnerable). But don't worry,
they don't take 1Gb of space each. The framework is around 25mb, and I would
expect the hotfix to be smaller than a megabyte.
