I have a customer who has a Win98se peer to peer network of 6 p/cs
that share some directories and printers. There Also is a Point of
Sale (POS) sytem that runs Win98se, this has 5 nodes. They want to
upgrade the non POS system to Win Xp yet retain P2P functionality.
I need to be able to share certain subdirectories as opposed to "My
Shared Folder". So I guess do I go XP-pro (yes) or XP-Home.
I think the security etc on the PRO makes it probably the best way to
go.
Also does anyone know how many pc/s can be networked as peer to peer
using Xp-Pro

Any comments please.

there's no Max networked computers for either XP home or XP pro
/// how many computers can connect to one specific computer's shares
simultaneously is ... 5 for home, 10 for Pro

You will need Pro, Home only allows 5 concurrent connections, Pro allows 10.
