DNS

I'm having a problem with accessing the network at home
on a laptop. It works fine in the office, but when I
connect at home, it would not resolve any names. I know
I'm online because I can anywhere via IP address. When I
do a nslookup, I get a response looking for my private
network's DNS server. I'm obtaining an IP address
automatically and all the DNS servers are public, but for
some reason, Nslookup still looks for the private.
Any ideas on how to correct?

Thank You

JJ,

Do you have any other computer at home, that you can use an example?

Ideally, if you can post 4 IPConfig listings: Twice for your problem computer
(once when connected at the office, the second at home), a working computer at
the office, and a working computer at home, we should be able to help you figure
out a solution.
Start - Run - "cmd". Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the command
window - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in Notepad, copy and paste into your next post.
Identify operating system (by name and version) with each ipconfig listing.

And JJ, please don't contribute to the spread and success of email address
mining viruses. Learn to munge your email address properly, to keep yourself a
bit safer when posting to open forums. Protect yourself and the rest of the
internet - read this article.
