I have two exchange 2000 servers running in a clustered
enviroment and one dns/dhcp server. I want to redo the
whole IP scheme of my domain. Currently we are running win
2k active directory. When i changed the dns servers Ip
address and implmement a new scope what all is going to be
affected.
Pretty much every thing
First I would just add the new IPs to the Static machines such as DHCP, DNS,
and the Domain Controllers.
Then in a command prompt run netdiag /fix on the machines. Once you have
verified these machines are running error free, setup your new scope with
these options:
003 Router
006 DNS Servers with the new IP of the DNS servers
015 DNS Domain Name
Set the clients to obtain IP and DNS settings from DHCP, restart the clients
and they should pick up all the new network IP settings.
