DNS Server/ Active Directory

I have a server that outside of my main server forest,
which I am trying to manage from my location, and the
other server is located in a different location; however,
I'm running into problems after I have done the following:
I setup and LMHost table on both sides, and made each side
a secondary zone ... now, I can browse the other side
domain from our server but can't browse our domain for
their server which is currently my problem because I'm
trying to setup a trust relationship so that I would be
able to maintain their server from our location. What I'm
getting is an error message "//hai.com is not accessible
There are currently no logon servers available to service
the logon request".

Do anyone have any ideas of what I may be doing wrong or
have not tried to fix this problem? Help!!!

LMHost is for Netbios Names (WINS) and expects a "single word" name. It is
not for DNS, and Active Directory is DNS based.

Hosts files are for DNS and expects a FQDN.

I'm saying that if you want a Trust,...then those depend on DNS (not
Netbios/WINS) and if you want to use such files then you need to do it with
the Hosts file not the LMHosts file.

However I don't think you are going about it the best way, but then I know
nothing of the topology design and am therefore totally "blind" about you
system.

I think you'd be better off with some kind of Remote Control setup as Doug
suggested with Terminal Services (Remote Desktop with 2003), or VNC, or
PCAnywhere.
