I purchased a new computer that uses Windows XP Home
edition as an OS and Internet Explorer 6 for a browser.
I use a cable connection to the internet and it has been
working great. My old computer which I still use has
Windows 98 SE and Internet explorer 5. I am experiencing
a problem with certain sites I visit on the internet. On
my new computer when I type in a certain domain name in
my browser I get re-directed to some other site. The
domain name I typed shows on the address bar but the site
I see on my screen is something else. If I type that
same domain name in my old computers browser which uses
the same internet connection I get directed to the actual
site. On one occasion I opened I site I usually visit
using my new computer and it took me there, I even put
that site in my favorites. When I tried to go back to
that same site the next day I was re-directed to some
other site again. No matter which way I tried to get
into that site I would get re-directed to something
else. I got into that site once but now I cannot get in
anymore, if I use my new computer. It is very
frustrating. My old computer has never done that to me
so I never had to deal with something like this before.
I would like to know if this is a Windows XP issue or A
browser issue and what can I do to fix this problem.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
