DNS on XP?

I was able to access a website. However, after I installed Internet
Download Manager, the web site is not accessible. I noticed that original
URL was 111.222.333 (for instance) and now is member.333.

How can I make it to work again?

Open a command prompt and try pinging the web site. If DNS is working,
it should return the IP address of the web site.
