DNS error

Upon trying to demote a DC I receive the following error:

The dsa operation is unable to proceed because of a DNS
lookup failure

Note: The root DC for this domain was demoted prior to the
issue occurring.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
Check your DNS config on the server and make sure it finds the DNS and have
the appropriate rights.
