I'm having trouble with my system resorces?
the program dllhost.exe is running continually from boot
up using upto 100% of my cpu(reported in taskmanager).
while this is running it is almost impossible to carry
out any other tasks!
If I disable my cable modem the system returns to normal.
1 article in the knowledge base suggested deleting the
registry entry:-
HKlocal machine/software/microsoft/java vm/ MS deugg.....

I dont appear to have this reg key on my system?

Any help would be great....

Look to see if you have ...\wins\DLLHOST.EXE and or ...\wins\svchost.exe in
the Running processes. If you do, you have a virus. The key to note here is
that it must have the sub-directory -> wins. Remove it with
W32.Welchia.Worm Removal Tool free from Symantec. Update your system with
latest MS patches also.

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Startup Programs Tracker. This
small utility scans your system for startup programs and running processes.
It also allows you to create a log file that can be copied and pasted into a
newsgroup post. The contents of the program window are also copied to the
Windows Clipboard, automatically.
