What is the mmvcp70.dll used for and what problem would it cause when it is
absent?

I believe it is used by Music Match. Errors reported when that file is
missing include errors reported at startup or errors when attempting to
play different types of media files. Reinstalling Music Match should
resolve the issue.

mmvcp70.dll is used with MusicMatch Jukebox among other programs.
mmvcp70.dll is not an XP file. MusicMatch Jukebox will popup with an erro
message that mmvcp70.dll is missing.
