I've recently been getting several different error
messages saying various dll files are not valid Windows
images. Any thoughts on what is causing this and more
importantly how to stop it?

One thing is to search the entire drive for the filename.dll after
ensuring you are seeing Hidden and extensions and protected system
file (from CPL, Folder Options).

If a zero-length file of the same name appears earlier in the PATH,
you could get that error.

And of course a current and up-to-date A-Virus / A-Trojan scan of
course.

Also from a command prompt (RUN..., cmd.exe) issue SET
and note the PATH= and SystemRoot= values displayed.

Anitvirus Scan found several different corrupt files with
a couple different worms and trojans. Once removed the
computer return to normal functionality
